The quest for excellence and service is a challenge handed down to every Iranian generation. This quest has brought many dreams to fulfillment. Most visible is the present day campus, the construction of which began five years ago and has relentlessly been under expansion and development resulting in the contemporary and charming campus we boast of today. These buildings are but the physical embodiment of our aspirations and our quest. This quest has taken us on a journey bringing each of the seven new buildings that now comprise Shomal University, Amol (SUA) to new levels of growth in numbers and physical facilities - and to greater achievement in excellence and service.  The seventh and final building of the present plan is now under construction.

Simultaneously SUA has sought to remain rooted in its fundamental values of service and excellence - in its schools, institutes, and affiliates. The roles and functions of higher learning are challenged by the expansion of adult education, the implementation of information technology and the adjustment and activation of departments and graduate institutes.

SUA has gone through carefully planned development, incessant progress and innovative breakthroughs to become an unrivalled and comprehensive university in the private sector.  SUA is committed to the creation of an educational environment that focuses on increasingly distinctive instructional features, research atmosphere, and academic reputation. Therefore, the university sets its ultimate goals to pursue academic distinction and to cultivate a talented and capable populace for the country.

The pursuit of excellence is visible in our efforts to strengthen research and faculty development, develop international alliances and collaborations, strengthen our sports programs, and foster programs and research on character and discipline. The vigor of SUA's societies and social groups and the many socially oriented activities on campus also reflect our commitment to place this excellence at the service of others.
